TECHNICAL NOTE: Our leather laces are chrome tanned and meet ISO 9002 certification standards. Chrome tanned laces have a breaking strength of 18 - 20 kgs. Alum tanned leather can have a lasting odor and sometimes loses its breaking strength on its own after a period of time due to rotting. That's why we sell the better quality chrome tanned leather laces to solve that problem. Leather is a natural product so it's possible that 5 - 6% of the area in the hides have weaker sections that cannot be noticed during production. Chrome tanned laces are free from any banned chemicals such as azo, benzedrine, nickel, cadmium, lead and formaldehyde which may cause skin diseases, allergies or cancer.
